According to the difference between cooling medium, four functions are concluded as following:
1.Water is as the medium for refrigeration: the cold water brings away the heat released by refrigerant. Cold water can be used once or repeatedly. This type of condenser could be classified into open shell and tube type, horizontal shell and tube type, telescopic type etc.
2.Air is as the medium for refrigeration: the air brings away the heat released by refrigerant. The flowing way of air can be natural convection, or the air can be forced to flow using a fan. This type is applied in the situation where there is inconvenience or difficulty for water supply of Freon refrigeration device.
3.Air and water are as the medium for refrigeration: the cold water and air bring away the heat released by refrigerant simultaneously. Actually, the evaporation of cold water on the surface of heat transfer tube mostly affects cooling effect. Cold water absorb tremendous heat coming from refrigerant for vaporization, and the function of the air is quickening the water evaporation process so that the steam can be easily brought away. For that reason, this type of condenser costs little water, and without doubt it should be considered as the first option if the fridge is positioned in an area where the air is dry or the water quality is poor or the water temperature is low, incurring the water insufficiency. It can be classified into two types, one is evaporation type, the other is spray type.
